I consider myself an environmentalist, and a documentary lover. I have been aware for quite a while about what is currently happening on Earth. Honestly, I have watched this documentary before because I enjoy watching documentaries, especially those related to the global crisis and other global issues. This documentary was once more, another motivation for me to start a change in our society and our world.
I do believe that if we influence Earth the way we are effecting it right now, we will come to a 'collapse'. Until now, I did think of the end of Earth as global warming gets worse. But it is the first time thinking of the collapse our society itself without the Earth getting destroyed. I guess if our society does collapse a society that will exist in the future will find our remains too. Just like how we found the remains of other societies that existed before us, the society of the future would also study our lives and keep our remains and museums.
I believe that there are three types of people in our world. One, who leaves the wrong footprint behind. Two, who leaves no footprints behind. Three, unlike the other two, one who leaves the right footprint behind. I try to help our world and make changes throughout our world because I am scared to become the first two types of people out of the three. My goal in life is not college, not a job but to make a change in our world before I disappear. I believe that these small changes from people who do care, will help us to prevent 'the collapse' and other disasters. I am certainly scared of things like 'the collapse'. I don't want to be remembered as the society that just used to exist. Plus, we never know what they will think of us. If we will be remembered, I hope that our society will be remembered as the society that did try hard to make changes in our world.
I do believe that someday, the current existing societies will have to move out of the way for future, new societies to rise. But, this does make me think… 'Why does moving out of the way have to be our society collapsing?' It would be a great success if we did make all of our changes come true and move out of the way by building our own, new society instead having a tragic ending.
